Published Thursday, 3 June 2004

The Powerhouse Wizard will each year recognise the accomplishments of an individual who is becoming a leader in their field of expertise. The award will provide a wonderful opportunity for that person to engage with new audiences and showcase their talents during their incumbent year.
The Powerhouse Wizard will be an ambassador for their chosen field in the general community. They will receive $5000 to assist their career development and will also have the opportunity to promote their work and achievements through a public program at the Museum.

Nominations for the inaugural Powerhouse Wizard are now open. The Award selection committee will comprise a group of notable Australians, including Catherine Livingstone, Chairman, CSIRO, John Moriarty, founder of Balarinji Design Studio and Professor Belinda Probert, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic), University of Western Australia, along with the Museum’s President Dr Nicholas G Pappas and a representative from Wizard Home Loans.
