Winners for the 2010 Gold Coast Indigenous Art and Design Award

Anthony Walker is the winner of the 2010 prize.
Category winners for 2010 were: Anthony Walker for Mallakarra (Overall Winner), Merinda McQueen for Goanna Tracks (Youth Award), Bruce Borey for Mugi (2D Winner), Janelle Mc Queen for Kangaroo Dreaming (3D Winner) and Alfred Summers for Journey (New Media and Photography Winner).

People's Choice Award was presented to: Tammy (Kirralaa) Kealy for Leatherback Dreaming.

Highly Commended prizes went to: Madeline Hodge for Crab Cove, Jai Walker for Bunya, Narelle Urquhart for Wattle Hill, Noel Caldwell for Walkabaout, Irene Nain for Ghost Bat, Janelle McQueen for Coastal Fruits, Kelli-Jo Atkinson for Took the Spirit Away, and Jamie Mc Keown for Migaloo Deaming.

The judges for the 2010 Award were Vernon Ah Kee (Indigenous Visual Artist), Bruce McLean (Associate Curator, Indigenous Australian Art, Queensland Art Gallery) and Michael Aird (Indigenous Photographer, Publisher and Anthropologist).
