OzBiogs is a compilation of three database resources, plus additional biographical data sourced by Discovery Media.
The database features a simple 'Artist Last Name' &/or 'First Name' search interface.
Scroll down the results page to view. Results appear
in the following order and are colour-coded:
a) NATSIVAD database entries*
b) AustArt (Index to Aust Art Journals) entries**
c) ARTEX entries.
Please note that the interface is still ungoing enhancement for functionality and appearance, and biographies are being progressively added and updated.
*The multiple search fields of NATSIVAD are not available when NATSIVAD biogs are accessed via 'OzBiogs'. If your users commonly search NATSIVAD via fields other than 'Last Name' &/or 'First Name' (eg. region, art centre, language), it may be advisable to subscribe to the individual database.
